The Madagascar Kickboxing Federation has sent sixteen fighters to compete in the African Championships taking place this week in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
A massive delegation. Madagascar returns to the international stage. The Madagascar Kickboxing and Associated Disciplines Federation is fielding sixteen fighters at the African Championships, which run from yesterday until Saturday at the Mfandena gymnasium in the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundé.
Several disciplines will be contested, including full contact, low kick, and K1 on the ring, as well as tatami events such as light contact, point contact, and forms. Five of the country’s flag-bearing fighters have prior international experience.
The most experienced is none other than Justin Zafy Moriamo, the former two-time African champion and 2018 cadet world champion, who also secured an additional title in 2024. He is competing in the senior -57 kg K1 category.
