The sixth and final round of the Madagascar Enduro Championship took place on Saturday in Mananjary. Mathias Plantive secured his second victory of the season, while Finaritra Razafindrakoto claimed the national title in the MX1 category.
It is two for two for Mathias Plantive. The multiple motocross champion and member of Acad’MX secured his second victory of the season in the Madagascar Enduro Championship on Saturday in Mananjary. Riding his Husqvarna, he triumphed after completing 24 laps of a 4.3 km circuit in two and a half hours, with a best lap time of approximately six minutes. This event served as the sixth and final round of the national championship.
“It is a technical track. I focused on changing my lines throughout the race because the terrain deteriorated significantly. The last thirty minutes were physically demanding. It was good training for the remainder of the motocross championship,” said Mathias Plantive.
The Acad’MX rider has primarily focused on the national motocross championship this season, where he currently leads after five rounds. Plantive has only participated in two official enduro races this season, winning both. His first victory came during the second round in Ambodifasina, on the highway leading to Ambohimanga Rova.
In Mananjary, Finaritra Razafindrakoto from MCM finished second in the general classification and in the MX1 category, completing 23 laps. Having won the third round and finished second four times this season, he secured the national title in MX1 with 234 points.
Sincère, from the IMC club, completed the general classification podium and won the junior category in this final round. Miadantsoa Razafinarivo finished just off the general podium in fourth place and third in Elite 1, with 22 laps completed. Having won the first and fourth rounds and finished third four times, Miadantsoa finished as the vice-champion of Madagascar in enduro with 224 points. Elvis Stark Harivoninahitra took sixth place in the general classification and fourth in MX1 in Mananjary.
