After a year-long hiatus, the Star Tour returned to Toamasina on October 24 and 25. More than 22,000 people gathered at the Tamatavy 501 esplanade for a weekend of concerts and entertainment, accompanied by environmental and solidarity initiatives.
The port city rediscovered the atmosphere of the Star Tour during this 2026 edition, themed around Oktoberfest. For two days, residents and visitors enjoyed a varied musical program along with food and beverage stalls.
Several artists and DJs performed on stage. Dalvis, Stéphanie, Tsota, Agrad, and Anatal performed their hits before a large crowd, with the port of Toamasina as a backdrop. Barhone, TEG, Legar, DJ NaToo, DJ Three-T, and DJ Landry also kept the festivities lively throughout the weekend.
Visitors were able to discover Star’s various beverage ranges and taste local specialties at the stalls set up on the site, which welcomed festival-goers who came with friends or family.
Star draws a positive assessment of this edition. “Thanks to the organization put in place and the coordination of the mobilized teams, the Star Tour Tamatave 2026 took place without any major incidents,” the company stated, also highlighting the high attendance recorded during the two days.
In parallel with the festivities, Kopakelatra led collection and awareness-raising actions for environmental protection. A tour of the neighborhoods allowed for the collection of more than 10,000 used plastic bottles and raised awareness among residents about cleanliness and practices to preserve their living environment. Collection bins were also installed on the Tamatavy 501 esplanade to encourage participants to dispose of their waste properly.
This edition was also marked by acts of solidarity. Three orphanages in Toamasina received donations of mineral water and rice, extending the Star Tour’s initiatives beyond the festival site.
