UEFA Conference League: Mathieu Acapandié’s club maintains a perfect record

On a roll. The Croatian club featuring Barea player Mathieu Acapandié has secured a second consecutive victory in the UEFA Conference League. Playing away, Hajduk Split defeated the Swiss club FC Thun 1-0 on Thursday evening, with the goal scored fifteen minutes into the first half. This match was part of the second matchday.

According to statistics, the Swiss club was slightly more offensive, recording eleven shots against ten, but the Croatian team was more efficient, with five shots on target including the goal, compared to four shots on target for the opposing team. The Barea right-back played the entire match.

During the first matchday, Hajduk Split had surprised Ajax Amsterdam with a 2-1 score a week earlier. Acapandié’s club is now among the sixteen teams competing in this European campaign with two wins in as many matches. Hajduk Split will travel to face Lincoln FC, currently third in the Gibraltar National League, for the third matchday on Thursday, November 5.
