Malagasy female leadership was in the spotlight in Africa. From October 8 to 11, 2026, Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, hosted the 12th edition of the International Forum of Women Elites (FIEF), a pan-African gathering dedicated to female leadership, entrepreneurship, women’s rights, and digital innovation. Madagascar was represented by Raïssa Wai-Mane, wife of the former Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdula Marson Moustapha. She expressed her pride in representing the nation on the African stage.
The third day of the forum focused on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and digital leadership, areas that offer new perspectives for women and young girls. The discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening their skills, economic autonomy, and access to technological opportunities.
For Madagascar, this participation serves as an opportunity to showcase Malagasy talent, promote female initiatives, and build ties with development actors from other African countries. These meetings can also foster the sharing of experiences, professional partnerships, and the emergence of new entrepreneurial initiatives.
Through her presence, Raïssa Wai-Mane contributes to the influence of Madagascar and highlights the essential role of women in the economic and social transformation of the continent.
