The ranking phase of the N1A championship has concluded ahead of the quarter-finals, with GNBC Analamanga and MBC Atsinanana leading the women’s and men’s standings respectively.
Before today’s quarter-finals, the provisional rankings of the Madagascar N1A championship provide a clear picture of the power dynamics. The final days also sealed the fate of several clubs, which are now relegated to N1B for the 2027 season.
In the women’s category, GNBC Analamanga finished at the top with 20 points after ten matches, boasting nine wins and one loss. M2BAL Analamanga took second place with 19 points, followed by JEA Vakinankaratra in third with 18 points.
In the men’s category, MBC Atsinanana finished first with 22 points after eleven rounds. RBC Boeny and GNBC Analamanga follow with 20 points each, with COSPN Analamanga in fourth place.
Beyond the title race, the ranking phase determined the relegation for several teams. For the women, EBF Haute Matsiatra, VARSITY Anosy, and Fandrasa Haute Matsiatra are relegated to N1B. For the men, ASSM Analamanga, Fandrasa Haute Matsiatra, and SBC Vakinankaratra will compete in N1B next season.
The remaining teams are now focused on the decisive knockout stages as they aim for the semi-finals and the ultimate goal of being crowned Madagascar N1A champions.
