The Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (Bianco) now has a dedicated space within Ivato International Airport to strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption in this strategic location. On Thursday, the anti-corruption agency and Ravinala Airports officially opened a Bianco kiosk at the airport. The initiative aims to bring anti-corruption mechanisms closer to users, travelers, and various stakeholders operating within the airport premises.
This new space will serve to inform and sensitize the public about the fight against corruption, as well as to collect reports and complaints regarding potential corrupt practices. “At Ravinala Airports, we have the responsibility of managing much more than just infrastructure. We contribute to the passenger experience and the promotion of Madagascar’s image worldwide,” emphasized Daniel Lefebvre, CEO of Ravinala Airports, who reaffirmed the company’s support for Bianco’s mission. For the manager of Antananarivo’s airport, preventing corruption contributes to improving Madagascar’s image among international travelers.
For Bianco, the establishment of this kiosk represents an additional commitment to promoting integrity. Its Director General, Gaby Nestor Razakamanantsoa, described its presence as “a symbol of our shared commitment to transparency and the promotion of integrity,” while providing a space of proximity and trust for users.
The collaboration between the two parties will focus on prevention, awareness, and the handling of reports. To begin, awareness-raising activities were organized on Thursday and will continue this Friday for various airport stakeholders and passengers, in order to promote responsible and honest behavior. The installation of this kiosk comes in an environment where the airport serves as a major transit point for travelers and economic actors, making corruption prevention a key issue for service quality and the country’s image.
