CLIMATE – Return of warmth to Toliara

Temperatures are gradually rising. The sun has returned after ten days marked by dry cold and, above all, strong winds. The coastline of the southern region faced heavy swells, which caused strong winds inland. This was due to a polar cold front from the south that submerged the southern zone. This cold spell also signals the transition from winter to summer.

Yesterday, the sun returned, bringing warmer temperatures ranging from 21 to 25 degrees Celsius during the day, whereas last week, the minimum temperature was 17 degrees and did not exceed 20 degrees.

The month of September is expected to be generally sunny. For this weekend, the meteorological forecasting service predicts a further rise in temperatures, which could reach 30 degrees.
