FASAN’NY KARANA – Some transport operators to remain on site

The fifteen-day deadline granted to cooperatives operating at Fasan’ny Karàna to vacate the premises and relocate to Amoronakona is nearing its end. Despite this imminent deadline, some transport operators may ultimately remain on site.

According to the head of the Fasan’ny Karàna station, discussions have been initiated between the Minister of Territorial Planning and the landowner. The latter has reportedly agreed to make a portion of the property available to the cooperatives. This space is intended for transporters who continue to provide services to southern destinations.

Other routes will be distributed across different sites. Transporters serving the East are required to move to Amoronakona, while those serving the North and West are expected to relocate to the Maki Andohatapenaka bus station. This reorganization is also expected to bring changes to the operations at Fasan’ny Karàna. Officials have announced, in particular, a strengthening of security and cleanliness at the site, with combating pickpockets being one of the stated priorities.

Authorities assure that they intend to take the necessary measures to improve the operating conditions of the station as the fifteen-day deadline approaches.
