PARLIAMENT – Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko announces a new extraordinary session in a week

Deputies are expected to return to Tsimbazaza in just over a week for a new session. “I would like to inform you that we will have a third extraordinary meeting again,” announced Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, President of the National Assembly, before the members of the chamber this Friday.

According to him, he had “asked the government that the deputies take a week of rest and that they return in a week.” The deputies indicated that they wanted more time to examine certain bills scheduled during this extraordinary session, which has just been officially closed by a presidential decree.

Out of the seven bills on the agenda for the 12-day extraordinary session that closed on Friday, the National Assembly decided to postpone the adoption of five of them to a future session, even though committee work had been carried out. Only two texts were adopted.
