The final stretch is here. The Analamanga National Gendarmerie Volleyball (GNVB) club will compete in at least two finals at the Madagascar U15 and U21 Cup this Friday at the Ampisikina complex gymnasium in Mahajanga.
In the girls’ U21 category, the Gendarmerie team will face Bi’as Analamanga in the final this afternoon. GNVB secured their spot with a 3-1 victory (25/13, 21/25, 25/21, 25/18) over Akany Sambatra Itaosy, while Bi’as Analamanga defeated MVBC Boeny 3-0 (25/19, 25/21, 25/11) in yesterday’s semi-finals.
The boys’ U15 final will be an internal affair between the first and second teams of the Gendarmerie. Third place went to AMVB Mandroseza, who beat MVBC 3-1 in the classification match yesterday. In the girls’ U15 category, CRJS Atsinanana will meet MVBC in the final duel. The host team defeated GNVB in the semi-final 3-1 (22/25, 26/24, 25/13, 25/10), while the Tamatave side eliminated EVBFI 3-0 (25/21, 25/15, 25/14). The winners of last night’s semi-finals between GNVB-ECVB and ASSM-ASI will play in the boys’ U21 final this afternoon.
