The Marcoz General Education College (CEG) in Ampisikina has not received any new buildings for half a century, leaving its school infrastructure in a dilapidated state. During her visit to Mahajanga for the national school championships, the Minister of National Education, Sendra Nirina Rajaonarison, took the opportunity to launch a project for the construction of a new building.
The new school facility will consist of twelve classrooms designed to accommodate six hundred students. The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on Sunday within the grounds of CEG Ampisikina. The construction period is estimated at five months. The building will also include a library, a computer lab, a cafeteria, a kitchen, an infirmary, and administrative offices.
“Our children are the future of the country, and they are the ones who will bring innovation to Madagascar,” the Minister stated.
