The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold the draw for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup this Thursday in Cairo, Egypt.
As the champion of Madagascar, CFFA will represent the Great Island in the CAF Champions League this season. The Andoharanofotsy club will be participating in a continental competition for the third time. Meanwhile, FC Rouge will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup. Having won the Madagascar Cup a few weeks ago, the club from the fifth arrondissement of Antananarivo will be making its debut in an African competition.
The first leg matches of the first preliminary round are scheduled for September 4 to 6, while the return legs are set for September 11 to 13. In the event of qualification, the clubs will play the second round, with first leg matches scheduled from October 16 to 18 and return legs from October 23 to 25.
