SABOTSY NAMEHANA – Man’s body found with signs of violence

A suspicious death has occurred in Sabotsy Namehana. Yesterday, the body of a 23-year-old man was discovered in the water near the bridge, showing signs of violence on his head and face.

The victim, identified as Mbolatiana Randriamahefa, nicknamed Rambola, had been missing since July 28 after leaving his home in Antsinanantsena, near the FJKM church. His family had issued a missing person report, describing a short young man with frizzy hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red hood and black pants.

Yesterday, around 8:10 AM, a call alerted the Avaradrano central police station to the presence of the body in the river. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and confirmed the identity of the deceased. According to the doctor dispatched to the site, the death occurred approximately three days ago. The bruises found on the victim reinforce the hypothesis of a death under suspicious circumstances. An investigation is underway to determine the exact causes of this tragedy.

Since July, ten people reported missing have been found dead in Antananarivo.
