The 35th edition of ‘Manal’Azy Vita Bacc’, held on Saturday, August 1st at Antsahamanitra, will pay tribute to the late Ramy Franck, a prominent figure in the Malagasy music scene who recently passed away.
Created by artist Olombelo Ricky, the event aims to provide a moment of relaxation for students who have just completed their baccalaureate exams. Despite a busy cultural calendar and organizational challenges, Ricky emphasized the importance of maintaining this tradition, which allows young people to decompress through music.
The concert will start at 3:00 PM and last for approximately four hours to ensure daytime safety for the audience. Previously purchased tickets remain valid. The performance will feature a repertoire spanning Olombelo Ricky’s career, including iconic tracks like ‘Iny Havako Iny’ and ‘Tretrika’.
Over its 35-year history, ‘Manal’Azy Vita Bacc’ has become a landmark event marking the transition from high school to higher education. Following this event, Olombelo Ricky is expected to embark on an international tour, with several festival appearances scheduled abroad through September.
