PORT – Customs to auction dozens of photovoltaic panel containers in Toamasina

From vehicles to solar panels. According to a notice issued by the customs administration, the General Directorate of Customs is organizing a new public auction at the storage facilities of the Toamasina-Port Customs Office starting August 10. 80 lots of goods, some of which have been immobilized in port warehouses for over ten years, will be offered to bidders. The catalog includes 75 containers of photovoltaic panels divided into four lots, declared under the name of a company based in the capital.

In addition to the photovoltaic panel containers, about thirty lots concern used vehicles and machinery, including sedans of various brands, all-terrain vehicles, trucks, semi-trailers, a road tractor, and an industrial forklift. The list of goods also includes used motorcycles. The presence of 93 Honda motorcycles intended for a ministry project is a notable item in the catalog.

Furthermore, the catalog lists various other goods. Construction materials, industrial equipment such as stone crushers, forklifts, power generators, or galvanized pipes, significant volumes of used clothing and personal effects, and tablets intended for a Ministry of Public Health project are also included in the catalog.
