On Friday, July 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM, La Balançoire will host Live Stage II, a concert featuring Denise, the Queen of Malagasy music, and Jaojoby, the King of Salegy. Through their respective works and careers, both artists have left their mark on several generations and continue to promote Malagasy music.
The evening will highlight two distinct musical worlds. Denise develops a modern style that blends soul, R&B, and electro with traditional Malagasy instruments. For his part, Jaojoby relies on Salegy, a traditional, fast-paced, and energetic ternary rhythm, particularly associated with dance and celebration. This encounter promises a dialogue between modernity and tradition, carried by two strong musical identities.
