ADMINISTRATION – Customs to hold public auction for goods stored in warehouses on August 10

Motorcycles, vehicles, car batteries, Spanish wines, household appliances, clothing… Nearly a hundred lots of goods stored in the warehouses of the Antanimena Customs Office will be put up for public auction starting Monday, August 10, 2026. The announcement was made by the Directorate General of Customs (DGD), which specified that the sale will be conducted via sealed bids.

These items primarily consist of imported goods that were not claimed by their owners within the legal timeframe—generally two months after being placed in storage—as well as goods seized for customs violations that have become eligible for sale following confiscation or other legal procedures, as explained by the customs administration in a statement.

The catalog of goods is available online. It includes numerous used motorcycles, sold individually or with additional frames, a used Toyota car, and several large lots of new car batteries. Also included are significant volumes of Spanish red and white wines packaged in cartons, as well as household appliances such as washing machines, gas stoves, laptops, inverters, and entire boxes of new or used clothing and footwear.
