TANJOMBATO – Police find a runaway teenager

Runaway case. On Monday, around 9:20 PM, police officers from the Rapid Intervention Unit of the Atsimondrano central police station discovered a 14-year-old girl wandering alone near the stairs leading to the Catholic church in Tanjombato.

The young girl was carrying a backpack and appeared disoriented. After verification, it turned out that she had left her relatives’ home in Marohoho, Tsimbazaza, following a family dispute, before ending up alone on the street.

Law enforcement immediately took charge of the teenager and safely escorted her back home to Tsimbazaza. They then raised awareness among her family about the importance of dialogue to resolve conflicts and prevent such situations from recurring.

The National Police acknowledges that this type of problem is frequent, but can always be resolved through communication and mutual listening. Furthermore, they invite the public not to hesitate to seek help from officers on the ground if needed, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring the protection and safety of all.
