Women’s Football: Marie Estella Lafontaine signs with PSG

National pride. A native of Nosy Be Hell-Ville, Marie Estella Lafontaine has signed her first professional contract with the prestigious French club Paris Saint-Germain. The 17-year-old Malagasy forward joined the Parisian club’s training center in the summer of 2024.

During the 2024-2025 season, she won the U19 national women’s championship title with PSG. Estella Lafontaine gradually established herself at the highest level, earning playing time with the professional team.

She recently distinguished herself by scoring a decisive brace against Thonon Évian, contributing to her team’s qualification for the quarter-finals of the Women’s Professional Football League Cup.

“I am very happy to sign my first professional contract with PSG. It is a great source of pride for me and an important step in my career. I will continue to work with determination to improve, help my team, and defend the Red and Blue colors,” she stated during her first interview after the signing.

Marie Estella Lafontaine began her journey at CS Sedan Ardennes, where she played from 2021 to 2024. She then joined one of the most prestigious clubs in French women’s football to continue her development.
