COMPETITION – The 17th edition of the Young Entrepreneur Trophy is underway

BNI Madagascar renews its commitment to youth entrepreneurship. The 2026 edition places special emphasis on women entrepreneurs.

BNI Madagascar has officially launched the seventeenth edition of the Young Entrepreneur Trophy (TJE), an annual competition aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among young Malagasy people under the age of 45. This year, the banking institution is placing a special focus on female entrepreneurship, which it considers an essential lever for the country’s economic development.

Applications have been open since June 29 and will run until September 1, 2026. Through this initiative, the bank invites young entrepreneurs and innovative project leaders to compete in two categories tailored to the maturity level of their business.

The first category, TJE Startup, is intended for project leaders or companies created less than a year ago. Candidates must be under 45 years old and present an innovative project based on a coherent business model and supported by a competent team. According to Hanta Rakotovao, Director of Strategic Partnerships at BNI Madagascar, this category provides a real opportunity for young people wishing to bring their entrepreneurial projects to life.

Support

The second category, TJE Croissance+, is reserved for business leaders under 45 who manage a company that has existed for at least one year and achieved an annual turnover of more than 60 million Ariary in 2025. It rewards companies offering innovative products or services with high development potential.

Beyond the recognition offered by the competition, BNI Madagascar plans to provide financial support to foster the winners’ growth. The winner of the TJE Croissance+ category will benefit from a loan of up to 100 million Ariary at a zero interest rate for the first year, while the winner of the TJE Startup category will be eligible for a loan of up to 50 million Ariary, also at a zero interest rate during the first year.

For Ndrina Ralaimanisa, Director of Public and Institutional Relations at BNI Madagascar, the Young Entrepreneur Trophy reflects the bank’s commitment to entrepreneurship. By supporting young talent, and particularly women entrepreneurs, BNI aims to contribute to the emergence of innovative, job-creating companies that drive growth for Madagascar.

Participation conditions and eligibility criteria for each category are available on the official BNI Madagascar website.
