INFRASTRUCTURE – Preparations for the construction of the Anosizato flyover are accelerating

Preparations for the construction of the flyover are in full swing. A working meeting was held yesterday in Anosy, presided over by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Public Works, Emile Joseph Sambisolo, with officials from all levels and relevant departments in attendance to discuss key aspects of the project. The launch date for the Anosizato flyover is approaching. According to the Ministry of Public Works, construction of this new bridge will officially commence on July 29, 2026.

Discussions with all project partners have enabled the planning and coordination of the site’s startup. Partners discussed in detail the support and compensation measures for those affected by the project, whether during or after their relocation from their homes or places of business. In parallel, participants have already planned traffic management and the reorganization of local merchants throughout the duration of the construction work.

This project is divided into two lots. The first concerns the construction of the flyover, including the creation of four access ramps. It also involves building two new bridges over the Ikopa River and the construction of four slip roads. The second lot focuses on widening the traffic lanes around the new structure. This includes the expansion of the RN1 into a dual-carriageway from the bridge exit to the Antanimenakely intersection. It also covers the rehabilitation of the RN58A between Ankadimbahoaka and the roundabout exit.
