EMPLOYMENT – A project supports students

Last Tuesday, the University of Toamasina and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), with the support of the French Embassy in Madagascar, organized the closing ceremony for the Tafa Success Support Program. This event marked the completion of fourteen months of guidance aimed at strengthening academic success and the employability of participating students.

Focused on more inclusive employability, the ceremony featured the presentation of three certificates to students at the University of Toamasina. According to a statement, they received a ‘certificate of completion for the Tafa Program, a certificate of success in French language exams obtained in partnership with the Alliance Française, and a PIX certificate attesting to their digital skills.’

Designed as an integrated mechanism for career support, the Tafa Program places inclusion and equal opportunity at the heart of its activities. It combines the development of transversal skills, support for professional insertion, and recognized certifications to concretely enhance students’ employability following their university studies.

The program also includes awareness campaigns on inclusion, conferences hosted by regional figures, and workshops dedicated to strengthening transversal skills. Students also benefit from support in developing their personal and professional projects. The program also provides for the reinforcement of digital and French language skills, validated by certifications.

Since its launch in 2025, the Tafa Program, led by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), has already benefited two hundred and seventy-five Malagasy students.
