The 66th anniversary of Independence was not celebrated solely within the national territory. Thousands of kilometers away from the Great Island, Malagasy communities established abroad also marked the event through ceremonies organized in several embassies and major cities around the world, most of which were driven by the newly appointed ambassadors.
