Staged yesterday at the CCESCA, the tribute concert to the duo Vola sy Noro drew a large crowd, captivated by the interpretation of the legendary duo’s greatest hits.
The melodies of Vola sy Noro continue to resonate across multiple generations. Yesterday, the remake of the tribute show, first presented last December, was a resounding success at the CCESCA. Many spectators, primarily adults and seniors, were present to relive the songs that marked the history of Malagasy music. Throughout the nearly three-hour concert, the emotion was palpable. On stage, the descendants of the two singers faithfully brought their mothers’ rich repertoire back to life. The show also held a surprise for the spectators with the performance of four previously unreleased songs by Vola sy Noro. Having passed away in August 2003 and December 2012 respectively, the two artists continue to pass on their musical legacy through their children, who perpetuate their work with emotion and fidelity.
