Yesterday, the National Police issued a wanted notice for a woman, her husband, and their two sons, who are suspected of involvement in child pornography.
The National Police are currently searching for the couple and their two sons, suspected of producing and distributing child pornography videos on the Internet.
According to information gathered, these four individuals allegedly recorded sexually explicit content involving children, which they then sold online. The alerts primarily came from abroad, notably the United States, prompting the Malagasy police to launch an investigation.
The suspects have been identified as follows: the father, Galtien Resento, born January 9, 1968, in Tsiloakarivo, aged 58; the mother, Fanjara, born circa 1983 in Mampanarivo, aged 43; and their sons, Bien Venue Resento, born February 12, 2004, in Mampanarivo, aged 22, and Charles Resento, born June 2, 2000, in Ambahikily, aged 26. They were last sighted in Tanandava Station, in the Morombe district, Atsimo-Andrefana region.
According to investigations, these individuals allegedly began their activities in 2023, but their production intensified in 2026. The minor girls exploited in these videos were paid a minimum of 40,000 ariary per day. The content was not marketed on local platforms but distributed abroad, which triggered the international alerts.
Once informed, cybercrime investigators conducted searches and visited the suspects’ known address, but they had already fled the premises.
The Central Service for Combating Cybercrime and the Morombe Public Security Commissariat are currently continuing the search. The police invite anyone with information regarding these individuals to approach the nearest police station or contact the following numbers directly: 034 05 703 76 for cybercrime, 034 02 330 16 or 032 02 330 16 for the Morombe commissariat. Authorities guarantee the confidentiality of all testimonies.
Efforts continue to locate and apprehend this family.
