Stakeholders in the essential oils sector are aiming high. The Group of Exporters of Essential Oils and Extracts of Madagascar (GEHEM) has set a target to reach one billion dollars in export turnover by 2040. This is an ambitious goal, considering that currently, Madagascar’s essential oil exports represent only a fraction of this amount.
