Four international artists and eleven Malagasy talents will perform at Mahamasina for the first edition of Mada Fiesta, an event primarily aimed at young people.
Malgasy music and international sounds will meet at the Barea Mahamasina tribune. On November 6, starting at 2 p.m., Mada Fiesta Party One will bring together artists from various backgrounds for a day of performances that will continue until the morning, according to the organizers.
This first edition specifically targets this generation, with a program that gives a significant place to dancehall, a genre appreciated by a portion of the young audience.
“This first edition is a cornerstone. Our goal is to sustainably place Madagascar on the map of major musical events in the Indian Ocean,” explains Irina Tsimijaly, head of communication for Mada Fiesta, during an interview. The team wishes to perpetuate the event by associating international artists with local talents each year to offer shows to the young public and contribute to the visibility of Malagasy music abroad.
Beyond the artistic programming, the organizers also aim to participate in the professionalization of the event sector in Madagascar. They intend to strengthen skills in technical, logistical, and communication fields, drawing inspiration from international standards.
