A 42-year-old teacher at the EPP (Public Primary School) was assaulted and robbed by two individuals the day before yesterday afternoon while traveling on the road in Antsahavory Atsimo, in the Manandriana district, Amoron’i Mania region. The attackers beat him violently, causing severe head injuries. They also stole his bag containing numerous documents.
Transported to the CSB II (Basic Health Center) in Ambohimahazo, the victim had seven head wounds. Given the severity of his condition, his transfer to the Ambositra hospital center was deemed necessary for further treatment. A vehicle was urgently sought, but it was not until early morning that transport could be found. The teacher was thus transferred to Ambositra yesterday.
He escaped the worst thanks to rapid medical care. The regional directorate of National Education provided the necessary assistance to cover the costs related to his treatment.
