A devastating fire occurred last weekend in the Ambatolampikely fokontany, in the rural commune of Ambatomiady, Antanifotsy district. The flames spread rapidly, reportedly destroying dozens of houses. It is said that the fire originated from an unfinished house currently under construction. The presence of straw in the courtyard caused the fire to spread quickly, further fueled by strong winds.
