On Monday night, a household in Soamiakatra, in the rural commune of Antanambao, Antsirabe II district, was attacked by armed robbers. The criminals made off with 20 million ariary in cash and two mobile phones. At least six individuals forced their way into the home, armed with a Kalashnikov rifle, spears, and knives. According to the National Gendarmerie report, the incident occurred around 11:00 PM.
