ACCIDENT ON RN2 – Survivors expected to provide testimony

One week after the collision between a truck and a bush taxi (taxi-brousse) that resulted in seven deaths on National Road 2 (RN2) in Antsapazana, Moramanga district, the investigation report has not yet been submitted to the judicial authorities. Investigations are ongoing, awaiting testimony from the survivors, particularly the driver of the bush taxi and three surviving passengers.

“The truck driver’s police custody has been extended to ensure his safety and to continue the investigation. The driver of the bush taxi is still hospitalized in Antananarivo. For now, he is considered a victim, and there is no evidence suggesting his responsibility in the accident. The injured will be heard as witnesses,” stated the Moramanga police.

Seven people lost their lives in this collision. All other occupants were injured, with the exception of the truck driver, who left the scene of the accident to report to a law enforcement station.
