The Madagascar Wrestling Federation is sending three fighters to the third edition of the Regional Education and Development Tournament (REDT), which will take place from October 9 to 18 in Mauritius. Noël Louis François Rakotomanga will compete in the senior category (under 57 kg). The other two are U17 youth athletes: Zetony Lancia Razafimahova (under 55 kg) and Francia Nomenjanahary Randriatiana (under 45 kg).
The delegation is led by Baovola Randrianarison, representing the federation, accompanied by referee Jean Émile Rakotojaona. Olympic wrestling competitions are scheduled for October 17, while beach wrestling events will take place on October 18. Technical and tactical training sessions for level 3 coaches and level 2 referees will be held from October 9 to 16.
This tournament will feature wrestlers from Mauritius, Réunion, Madagascar, Comoros, South Africa, Burundi, Cape Verde, and Namibia. The Malagasy delegation has been on-site since Thursday evening.
