Three traffic accidents occurred successively in Antananarivo within 24 hours, between October 5 and 6, resulting in injuries and material damage.
The first accident took place on Sunday evening around 10:25 PM in Mandroseza. A grey Isuzu light truck veered off the road near the line 015 bus stop and crashed into a house gate, which collapsed under the impact. The driver and his father, who were in the front of the vehicle, were seriously injured and were quickly evacuated to the hospital.
On Monday morning around 9:30 AM in Manakambahiny, a white JOG 90 motorcycle struck a 19-year-old woman who suddenly crossed the road near the post office. According to witnesses, the pedestrian’s crossing was unpredictable, and the motorcyclist could not avoid her.
Shortly after, at 2:15 PM, another collision occurred at Art Malagasy, under the bridge. A red Kymco Racing motorcycle and a blue Honda car collided. The two motorcycle riders, aged 23 and 42, were seriously injured and transported to the Andohatapenaka hospital.
The police are continuing their investigations into these three accidents to determine the exact circumstances of each incident. Law enforcement is once again calling on road users to exercise caution, especially at night and in areas where many pedestrians cross the road.
