The Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Herinjatovo Aimé Ramiarison, met with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) representative in Madagascar, Kodjovi Mawulikplimi Eklou, last Monday in Antaninarenina.
This technical visit was dedicated to the preparation of the 2027 draft finance bill. Several projects and programs of the Refoundation government are supported by the IMF under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).
On September 30, the IMF Executive Board approved the third and fourth reviews of the programs supported by the ECF and RSF for Madagascar, authorizing the disbursement of 155 million dollars, equivalent to 675 billion ariary.
