Finishing fourth in the N1A national championship, the Basket Club de Boeny (BCB Boeny) confirms its progress and establishes itself as one of the best teams in the country.
Chaired by Anilha Anthony, the club distinguished itself during the final phases of the Madagascar N1A championship, which concluded on Sunday at the Palais des Sports in Mahamasina. For its fourth consecutive season in N1A, the Mahajanga-based team reached the final four once again, finishing just off the podium behind COSPN, RBC Boeny, and GNBC.
Although they missed out on a medal, the performance confirms the club’s consistency at the highest level. No longer just representing the Boeny region, BCB has become a serious outsider capable of challenging the established giants of Malagasy basketball.
The club’s rise is supported by the personal investment of president Anilha Anthony, who funds the team’s operations, travel, and recruitment independently. This season, the club notably recruited German player Adrian Breitlauh to bolster their roster. Looking ahead, the club aims to build on this fourth-place finish to reach even greater heights in the future.
