Last Thursday at 5:45 PM, three gunshots rang out in Ambalavao Isotry, just 15 meters from the Ampefiloha fokontany office and two meters from the entrance of the FJKM Isotry church. A man carrying a bag full of cash was attacked by three bandits. Although the victim was already on the ground, the perpetrators reportedly continued to fire at him.
The assailants used knives to rip open the bag of money before fleeing the scene. Initial investigations indicate that the victim is an employee of a second-hand clothing wholesaler located in the large market. He is currently receiving treatment at the Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona Hospital (HJRA) and is no longer in critical condition. A sum of money was stolen by the bandits.
