Gunshots rang out the day before yesterday during the day in 67 Ha. Other shots were heard at night in the Trano Dimy sector, in Ampangabe Anosibe.
According to the information gathered, these two incidents occurred during the pursuit of criminals. Two men presented as the perpetrators of an attack carried out in the morning were shot dead during two successive police interventions. Loaded weapons were found on them, while their accomplices managed to escape.
An armed robbery took place the day before yesterday, around 9 a.m., in Anosibe Ambilanibe. The victim, a woman who runs a “cash point,” was wounded by assailants armed with guns and knives. The latter stole her money and her mobile phone. Elements of the Criminal Brigade (BC), supported by the Support and Reinforcement Service of the National Police (SAG), immediately went to the scene. Searches were then launched.
“The police were informed by a good Samaritan of the presence of suspicious individuals in 67 Ha Vatobe. They were trying to sell phones of dubious origin. Elements of the BC and SAG then went to the scene. At the time of their arrest, the two suspects fled while opening fire. The police retaliated and hit one of them. A pistol and five cartridges were found in his possession. According to the initial elements of the investigation, he had participated in the attack committed in the morning. Searches continued to find his accomplice, who had managed to escape,” indicated the National Police.
In the evening, around 9:30 p.m., the police spotted, in the Trano Dimy sector in Ampangabe, criminals suspected of being the accomplices of the man killed in 67 Ha. The latter were allegedly preparing a new attack. According to the information provided, they opened fire as soon as they saw the law enforcement officers. An exchange of fire then broke out. Hit by a bullet, one of the suspects succumbed to his injuries. A homemade rifle and seven cartridges were found in his possession.
