The spread of drugs in the capital remains a matter of concern. During a search and raid operation conducted by the National Police on the evening of Thursday, September 10, 2026, four individuals were apprehended in possession of Indian hemp and arrested.
The Tsaralalàna Police led this operation, which is part of efforts to strengthen public security and combat the proliferation of drugs in Antananarivo Renivohitra. Several areas were subject to searches, including Analakely, Ambodifilao, Behoririka, Antanimena, Ankorondrano, Ankazomanga, and 67 Ha. It was during these operations that the four individuals were caught. They were immediately taken to the Central Police Station of Tsaralalàna for questioning. The investigation is expected to help determine the origin of these drugs and identify any networks that may be behind this trafficking.
