The Centre de formation de football d’Andoharanofotsy (CFFA) continues its journey in the African Champions League. The Madagascar champion club secured its qualification for the second preliminary round of this interclub competition after eliminating Lesotho’s Lijabatho in the first round.
The two teams drew (1-1) in the second leg of the preliminary round this Saturday at the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. A week ago, the Malagasy side defeated the Lesothans (2-0) in Mauritius. With an aggregate score of 3-1, the Malagasy team advances.
In the second round, CFFA will face the Young Africans. This Tanzanian team eliminated Botswana’s Gaborone United Sporting after a 2-1 victory in the second leg. A week earlier, the two teams had drawn (1-1).
