And that makes four. FMMSAM club driver Juan Rakotojohary, known as Tovonen Jr, driving a Clio Hankook Motul M11, claimed his fourth consecutive victory during the fourth round of the Madagascar Asphalt Track Championship, organized by the TFM Rally club.
This season’s first slalom pursuit race took place on Saturday at the Serana Racing Kart track in Imerintsiatosika. With four victories under his belt, Tovonen Jr leads the provisional standings by a wide margin, securing the Madagascar Slalom and Hill Climb Asphalt Track Champion title ahead of the final round.
Juan dominated the final standings across all categories, including the M11 class and the youth category, setting the best times on both Track A (2:01.00) and Track B (1:57.14). Despite some technical challenges, such as the lack of a handbrake for sharper pivots, he maintained his lead. FMMSAM driver Andy Randriamanga, known as Boutax, finished second overall, while Tiana Rahary completed the podium.
The fifth and final slalom round, organized by the Tac’s club, will conclude the season on November 28 and 29.
