The National Fund for the Development of Sport and Youth (Tafita) has welcomed its new Director General. Guy Laurent Ramanankamonjy has taken the helm of this organization, which is attached to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The handover ceremony with the interim Director General, Zina Alitera Rakotoson, was held on Tuesday in the conference room of the Mahamasina Sports Palace, in the presence of Alain Désiré Rasambany, Minister of Youth and Sports.
This new leadership at the head of Tafita aims to lay the foundations for modern, responsible, and performance-oriented management, which is essential for the development of sport and youth in Madagascar. Guy Laurent Ramanankamonjy intends to focus his mandate on supporting youth and the flourishing of athletes, with particular attention paid to improving the management and maintenance of sports infrastructure throughout the Great Island.
For his part, Minister Alain Désiré Rasambany recalled the demands placed on the organization. Insisting that the time for concrete action has come, the government member expects this new governance to provide the impetus needed to revitalize the sector.
