CONCERT – Reko returns to the stage for ‘Upside Down’

The band Reko is inviting its audience to the Palais des Sports for a concert featuring its fourth album, Upside Down, with over forty tracks on the program.

The Palais des Sports is preparing to host Reko for one of the most anticipated events of the year. True to its traditional annual concert, the group will meet its fans on September 20 at 3:00 PM, in a show organized by Studio 53 in collaboration with Orange Madagascar. This official partnership also makes Reko a brand ambassador. On stage, the band will highlight its fourth album, Upside Down, released in June, as well as several flagship tracks from its repertoire.

Upside Down marks a new milestone in Reko’s journey. Five songs in English from the album will be particularly showcased. In total, the audience will discover more than 40 tracks, ranging from listening pieces to high-energy songs, in a show designed as a moment of sharing and emotion.

The concert will be organized in two parts and will feature several guests, including Jimmy Harison, Ericka Durock from the group TGC, and DJ Sugar Nathan. Musical collaborations are also planned, including covers of Reko’s songs by the guest artists. Their selection reflects the desire to bring “a touch from them, in connection with our music,” the band shared.

Usually held in December, Reko’s annual event will exceptionally take place in September this year, primarily due to the unavailability of the Palais des Sports in December. However, the group hopes to return to that period next year, as it holds special significance for them.

“It is truly Reko’s most important concert of the year. It is where we will accomplish many things and give our maximum energy,” emphasizes Fy Rasolofoniaina, one of the group’s pillars.

Reko also claims a music open to all. “Our music is intended for everyone. It is not specifically evangelical,” explains Fy Rasolofoniaina. He compares this philosophy to sunlight: “Like the sun that rises for everyone and brings its light to all, our music also wants to give light to everyone.”

Reko is celebrating its eighth anniversary this year. The group includes Diary on bass and vocals, Zazah on drums, Princia on guitar, as well as Fy on acoustic guitar and lead vocals.

The band performs in a progressive folk style, with the acoustic guitar as a base, enriched by other instruments. Reko has already distinguished itself during its previous events at the Palais des Sports, which were regularly sold out. Last year, the group also won the title of Best Concert of the Year.

With this new event, Reko intends to offer a new highlight to its audience, featuring the discovery of Upside Down, English tracks, collaborations, and great classics from its repertoire. A concert marked by music, sharing, and emotion.
