A new chapter begins for the Tahiry Aina ho an’ny Fanatanjahantena sy Itsinjovana ny Tanora (Tafita). The handover ceremony between the interim Director General, Zina Alitera Rakotoson, and the new Director General, Guy Laurent Ramanankamonjy, took place yesterday at the Mahamasina Sports Palace, in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Alain Désiré Rasambany.
Attending the ceremony alongside his staff, the Minister emphasized the responsibilities incumbent upon the new leadership. For him, the time for action has come, with a need to inject new momentum into the management of the sector.
For his part, the new Director General expressed his gratitude to the authorities for the trust placed in him through this appointment. He also acknowledged the work accomplished by his predecessor during the interim period, as well as the efforts made by all staff members.
Guy Laurent Ramanankamonjy intends to focus his mandate on the development of sports and the support of youth. He specifically announced his commitment to improving the management and maintenance of sports infrastructure across the country.
This handover marks a new phase for Tafita, with the stated ambition of management more focused on responsibility, efficiency, and results, in service to the youth and the development of sports in Madagascar.
