The Antananarivo court has sentenced the former President of the Senate, General Richard Ravalomanana, to 10 years of forced labor. According to the verdict delivered this Tuesday at the Anosy Courthouse, the former Secretary of State in charge of the Gendarmerie was found guilty of complicity in murder and complicity in intentional assault and battery.
The charge of threatening murder has been dismissed due to the statute of limitations. His lawyer, Me Lazatiana Razafimamonjy, has announced an appeal against the court’s decision.
