First official road race and first victory. Riding a MT-09 in the Roadster 3 category, Willio Émilien Rabevoavy caused a surprise by winning the third round of the Madagascar Big Displacement Road Motorcycle Championship on Sunday in Ambohibary Sambaina. He achieved the best time of the competition on his very first run, clocking in at 1 minute 30.12 seconds.
Second in the general classification, Tsihoarana Raharitsomba, riding a ZX-10R, finished first in the Sportive 3 category. He recorded the second-best time on his third run, at 1 minute 31.25 seconds.
Harena Andrianasolo, at the controls of a S1000RR, completed the podium in the general classification. He achieved his best time on his third run, at 1 minute 32.64 seconds.
Multiple champion Noël Hasina Rakoto, also on a S1000RR, had to settle for fourth place in the general classification and third place in the Sportive 3 category this time. Hasina Kely had previously won three races brilliantly in the first half of the year, including the first two rounds of the championship held on the straight line of the Arivonimamo naval air base in early June and early July.
