National Life: FFKM plans to present the conclusions of the national consultation in May 2027

The Council of Christian Churches in Madagascar (FFKM) has set a timeline of approximately nine months to conclude and finalize the national consultation process. Reverend Vonjisoa Tahina Ranaivoarivelo, Secretary General of the ecclesiastical organization, announced during the presentation of the official calendar that the restitution of the findings will take place in May 2027.

For his part, Mgr. Samoela Jaona Ranarivelo acknowledged the delay in launching the process. As a man of the Church, he stated that this setback was due to “God’s will,” without providing further details.

Between now and the deadline, the FFKM has planned several stages. This Wednesday, a training-of-trainers session will be held at the Ivato International Conference Center (CCI). Consultations will begin on September 14, while communal-level discussions will not start until October 14. The process will then continue at the district and regional levels until November 16.

Members of the diaspora will also have their say, with consultations concerning them scheduled from September 14 to mid-November. Finally, the major national consultation is set to be held in March 2027.
