The Jirama agency in Tanjombato is operating at a slow pace. Currently, only the bill payment service is available due to material damage caused by a fire that occurred on its premises this weekend. “The national company’s teams are working to gradually restore all daily activities. We are starting this morning with the reopening of the payment counter for customers,” Jirama stated yesterday.
According to the preliminary report, the double fire at this agency, which occurred on Saturday and Sunday, destroyed 194 new electricity meters, cables, and distribution boards stored in the warehouse. Upstairs, the meter readers’ offices and the technical department were also affected by the flames.
Law enforcement forces have already been deployed to the scene, and an investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of this incident.
