What if the flavors of the world could be found in one place? This is the goal of the Tiakaly Food Festival 3.0, which will be held on August 29 and 30 at the Rayim Building, within the Sodiama complex in Ankorondrano. For this third edition, organized by Okalou Event and Tiakaly, the festival will offer a true culinary journey through more than 15 countries.
China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Italy, and several other countries will be represented. More than 40 stands will be dedicated to gastronomy, while the festival will feature over 70 stands in total, including partners, games, and other activities. “More than 15 countries will be represented, which is why we chose the theme ‘The Grand Culinary Journey.’ The public will be able to travel through different cultures and flavors,” explains Tsiory, from the Tiakaly page, the creator of the concept.
This edition also aims to reach a new milestone in attendance. After welcoming approximately 3,000 visitors and 34 brands during the second edition, the organizers are targeting 4,000 visitors this year, with an expanded gastronomic offering and programming.
The Tiakaly Food Festival will not be limited to culinary discoveries. Entertainment, games, concerts, and family activities will punctuate the two days. Several artists, including Patricia, Monie, Nambinina, and Andry Blues, as well as young talents, will participate in the program.
Andy Rasoanarivo, General Manager of Okalou Event, explains: “The concept was inspired by the success of food festivals observed around the world, while being adapted to the Malagasy context and the Tiakaly community. We have combined entertainment and culinary art. It will be a totally family-oriented event.”
This third edition will also be marked by the introduction of the ‘Gourmet Passport.’ Visitors will be invited to take on various challenges to try to win several prizes, including an overnight stay at the Radisson.
Created in 2023, the Tiakaly Food Festival was born from the desire to bring together the world of Tiakaly and that of gastronomy in the same space. After a first edition organized over one day, the event has gradually developed to now span two days. For this third edition, the festival intends to transform Ankorondrano into a true crossroads of flavors, cultures, and family entertainment for a weekend.
