Between the lack of jobs, the mismatch in training, and the growth of the informal sector, thousands of young Malagasy people are struggling to find their place in the economy. The paradox is striking. Madagascar may show a level of unemployment that seems relatively contained when looking only at the classic indicator. However, as soon as the analysis focuses on young people, the picture changes radically.
